FIRST THURSDAYS OF EVERY MONTH

11 PM- MIDNIGHT

The apparitions of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque are closely connected with devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. One of the important practices of this devotion is the Holy Hour.

The Holy Hour is a night of prayer and vigil that Jesus asked St. Margaret Mary Alacoque to observe during His third apparition to her in 1674.

It is traditionally held during the night from Thursday into Friday, following the example of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane where He experienced deep anguish in anticipation of His Passion and Death.

Spending this hour in prayer and meditating on Christ’s Passion is an act of reparation for our sins and one of the most beautiful ways of showing our love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Jesus invites us to remain with Him in His agony in Gethsemane, to reflect on His Passion, and to make reparation for the sins of the world.

In response to our Savior’s invitation, we warmly invite everyone to join us for the Holy Hour, which will be held on the First Thursday of every month.

Come and let us keep watch with Jesus, make reparation to His Sacred Heart for our sins, and respond with love to His infinite Love.
